Bacillus mucilaginosus, also called silicate bacterium, is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacteria widely found in soil and water.
Bacillus mucilaginosus can release nutritional potassium ions from soils and minerals so that plants and crops production is able to use it. Due to its role in microbial flocculation, Bacillus mucilaginosus is also useful in wastewater treatment.

1) Use as biofertilizer.
Bacillus mucilaginosus can dissolve phosphorus, fix nitrogen, release potassium, silicon, and trace elements such as calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, sulfur, and manganese, improve soil fertility and provide nutrients to the soil.
2) Use as microbial flocculation.Bacillus mucilaginosus helps aggregate bacteria and minerals into clumps which can be more easily removed from sewage or industrial wastewater.
