Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) is a Gram-positive, soil-dwelling bacterium, the most commonly used for decades by organic farmers to control crop-eating insects and by the World Health Organization to kill mosquitoes without using dangerous chemical pesticides.
B. thuringiensis (Bt) is also a powerful phosphate-solubilizing bacterium. It can also be used as a biofertilizer or biostimulator to enhance overall plant production.
